Stansbury Park is an unincorporated master-planned community begun in 1970 by developer Terracor around a man-made lake and an 18-hole golf course. The original sections are Country Club (along the golf course), Lake View (including 143 lakeside homes and the 178-home Captain's Island peninsula) and Mill Pond, which was planned for condominiums; those 1970s-1990s homes are joined by a large wave of 2000s-2020s single-family subdivisions that nearly doubled the population between 2010 and 2020.
