Bountiful is Utah's second-oldest settlement (1847), and its housing tells that story: a downtown historic district with pioneer and early-1900s homes, a huge wave of 1940s-1960s ramblers and bungalows built when the population nearly tripled after World War II, and larger 1970s-2000s homes climbing the east bench toward Mueller Park. Val Verda in the south mixes mid-century bungalows with newer infill. We test adhesion, remove anything loose, skim rough areas and prime with a wallcovering primer so the new paper releases cleanly if you ever change it.
Yes. We use a controlled steam and enzyme approach and score only where needed, which protects older plaster far better than dry scraping. After removal we wash off paste residue and skim any gouges so the wall is ready for paint or new paper.
