Dorset paint house founded in 1946 by John Farrow and Richard Ball that prints its wallpapers with its own water-based paint rather than ink, using traditional block, trough, flatbed and roller methods, so every roll has a tactile, slightly raised, brushed finish. Known for quiet English pattern - Bamboo, Lotus, Tessella, Yukutori, Bumble Bee - coloured in the same palette as its paints.
How you buy it. Farrow & Ball sells direct from its own website and through retailers, so you can order the rolls yourself and hand them to us, or send us the pattern link and we will confirm the roll count before you buy.
What it costs to buy. $270-$440 per 10 m roll on the US site; most standard patterns are $350 per roll (e.g. Bamboo, Amime, Bumble Bee at $350, metallic colourways $440).

No trade-only channel: designers and installers order through the US website, an F&B showroom (nearest company showrooms to Utah are Los Angeles/West Hollywood and Berkeley, CA - no Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada or Arizona showroom listed) or a stockist. Samples. Up to three free wallpaper samples per order on the US site, made from genuine F&B wallpaper and delivered within a few days; also free in showrooms. No samples of the made-to-order Archive collection.
Lead time and returns. US wallpaper orders ship free by UPS in about 10 working days; Archive papers are made to order (minimum ten rolls) in about 14 working days. The US delivery-and-returns page says wallpaper cannot be accepted for refund, while the US wallpaper page says unopened rolls may be returned within 28 days with proof of purchase - confirm at order time; Archive papers are never returnable.
